Level 36 how to get 3 stars?
Is it possible? I don't think so, the food supply is too slow.

Yes, it is. Please, use boosters harder!

No, it most certainly isn't possible, without altering the code slightly. I've genuinely just installed this turkey after many years, because of that one level. They've done nothing to change it, every video and blog still complains about it, and yet the little messages during load screens keeps taunting us with ''the Viking Brothers want you to get THREE STARS on every level!'', or some similar crap.

I've been trying this for days. GameHouse had a similar eff-up at around the same time with one of their franchises; they put out a fix within the week. I know umpteen people emailed Alawar about this, and got absolutely nothing. Check YouTube; not a single gamer has gotten past two stars. I've even seen one star. I say if it's possible, then post a bloody video PROVING it's possible, Alawar. Until then, I won't buy or play another of your games, as you clearly couldn't care less about the enjoyment factor. A challenge is one thing, but this is f@cking ridiculous. I'm good at games. REALLY good. But this one just isn't possible for three stars. The only other time I've had this much trouble, is when GameHouse made a mistake in their game on one level. But then, they immediately released a hotfix. Crisis over.

So, like I've said. Prove it, or admit you made a mistake and fix it. The onus is on you, for publishing it like this. Apparently, it's a big series. I wouldn't know; I quit buying and playing at Level 36 in the second one.

Whoops! Forgot to post the ''fix'', which pains me, as it's kind of a cheat. But necessary, if you want three stars. Quick and painless. Which is why I'm baffled as to why Alawar failed to hotfix such a simple balancing issue. I know they pretty much ignored the email campaign several years ago.

Find this:

C:\GamehouseGames\VikingBrothers2\Data\config\levelbalance.ini

You'll note it starts at [level_0], rather than [level_1], so you'll need to scroll down to [level_35], even though it's actually Level 36. Just a programming quirk. Anyway, there, you'll see a list comprising "goldtime/silvertime/bronzetime" (not typed exactly like that, just telling you where to look). They had some ridiculous number like ''goldtime=175'', which in seconds, is well under three minutes. The absolute best, precision-clicked YouTube videos were by seasoned gamers who could only get 3:03 and 3:04, respectively, which is two stars (or "silvertime"). These people never post anything under three stars, yet they both failed to make it. I think my best time was around 3:10+, and I consider myself fairly decent at these types of games.

If you want a still challenging but ultimately beatable level, just change the parameters thusly:

bronzetime=350
silvertime=300
goldtime=250

Then save, close, restart VB2. Everyone should be able to beat that. I'd still be interested to see a video showing somebody "using boosters hard!" As programmed, there is only time for one freeze time, two +1, or 4-5 speed boosts, which are useless when your resources are so slow. I've tried so many combinations, and have never come close to three stars. Three stars is me with still at least two flowers left to kill, but no resources to back it up. Even when building/upgrading the farm first, you'll still be short in the given timeframe.

Ugh; not sure why that link is there, but not only will Steam not let me post the screenshot I'd taken of the file that needs editing (hence the laborious explanation, sorry), but it won't let me edit the post to extract the link back to the Community page. Wtf!?
