Graphics settings are reset when updating GPU drivers

Every time the graphics driver is changed or updated, the game resets all the graphics settings which is very annoying.

It makes sense that it has to rebuild the shaders but why reset the settings? The demo did it too.

This should happen only if driver changed the reported name of your gfx card.
Can you post logs file here, please? One before and one after a driver update that provoked auto-detection on startup.

Hey, I checked the logs and the various ini files. The GPU name doesn't change but it looks like you're also storing the driver date in LastDetectionInfo in GameUserSettings.ini, that's probably what's triggering the change.

This issue also occurs on a Steam Deck. Graphics settings are reset to lowest every day (if there are multiple launches on the same day - settings are kept between them). I've even tried to lock config file from being written (via chattr command in linux) but with no any luck. I thinks devs should seriously look into this issue.

This is fixed in opetbeta steam branch. Will be pushed soon to release branch, hopefully.
