Stuck at Isle of the Blessed / A helping hand:
Helping Hand Puzzle (blue side lost puzzle);
I know what has to be done, but I have no idea how to get that connector up there.
Any hints?
Thanks!

The clue is in the title. It's an interaction you might not think would work, but is available to you.

I'm sorry but I don't get it, the platform is too high up even when standing on a cube

You need to somehow be on the upper ledge, and then reach down and pick up the connector. For that to happen, the connector has to be high enough for you to reach.

You might think the fan would be the answer, but you can't get both the fan, box and connector on top of that while one of your clone's is up on the ledge (since something needs to always be holding down the pressure plate to the emitter). So you need another way to make the connector easier for you to reach from up there.

Again, the hint is in the title. How else could you get the connector to be a little bit higher, given that you can only use 3 things out of the 4 available to you (connector, cube, fan blade, clone).

At some point, there will have to be a box near the vertical fan, with a 'body' standing on top of it, and another body being at the elevated platform that is 'just below' the objective. And at that point, they will have to perform the action referenced in the title.

Huh? So one clone can hand stuff to another clone?

What's the difference between BORROW and LEND?

:-)

Thanks I got it now, but I completely missed that this was even possible. Was this explained/hinted at anywhere?

Not explicitly, no. However, in the base game, there was a level in Region North 1, where you get the 'cloning' ability for the first time, I think it had the name "Gift", where a clone had to give you something while standing on a box to reach to you. So if you played and finished TTP2, you were exposed to this mechanic.

I always solved this puzzle by placing the connector on that box at the wall, and then fetch it from above.

I don't believe I solved any puzzles with this mechanic and did beat the main game (100% minus getting all three mayors and arguing with Thecla, only got Byron mayor). I do believe I accidentally did do this mechanic once and completely forgot about it.

What annoyed me with this puzzle was I didn't realise one bot could hold the connector and the other bot could there pick it up out of his hands. I feel like i often get stuck in puzzles where its like "Oh, i didn't know this interaction was possible"

Same here, we spent almost 2 hours trying to solve this and always came up with "there must be some items missing here".
PHTOME-627-6 Jun 17, 2024 @ 3:51am
Ah that was the solution ! Did know that I can take the item from the clone but didn't connect that the item would be a little bit higher though. I cheat it by extracting a box and a connector from room 5 on the red area I believe (the one with sticky wall near the red tower), so I was able to add another connector in. Another funny thing is that room I picked the box and the connector, I didn't finished it the regular way either, I reach the hand by walking on the ledge of the wall. What a way to play....!

This one was driving my crazy. The moment I read your post, I got what you need to do and solved it. Thank you :).

I solved it by jumping directly from floating cube to the progress wheel. It felt like wrong solution... and it is.
