Story order
I read somwhere there is an intended story order for the 3 part DLC - which one should i play first, which one last?
Orpheus - Isle - Abyss?

But you can really play them in any order you want, as each chapter is its own story.

Yes, like listed in the store description

From what I can tell, Abyss is the first as it takes place between North 3 (site 6) and West 3 (site 12), then Orpheus and Isle are more-or-less interchangeable, at least where they relate to the base game's story.

Though Abyss is also stated to be the hardest, so that may also influence your choices there.

Orpheus is the first "episode" in the menu (after main game ofcourse), so one would think that is the first one.

There are elements which are chronological, but not to the degree that you wouldn't understand what's going on.

What you're missing here is that Into the Abyss is explicitly a flashback, and it starts off being told from a perspective that only makes sense after Island of the Blessed i.e. with Byron and Alcatraz talking to each other.
