Is there a comprehensive list of all the artefacts?

I would like to see all the ancient human artefacts, but I don't know how many there are. so no way to know whether I already discovered them all or not. I searched most maps quite thoroughly. I only skipped most of the snowy slopes of N1, which I find very hard to navigate.

So far I found 15:
1. Tricycle - E1
2. Radiator - E1
3. Unknown Machine - E1
4. Tank - E2
5. Slide - E3
6. Satellite Dish - N2
7. Van - N3
8. Washing Machine - N3
9. Anchor - N3
10. Bomber Plane - S1
11. Arcade Machine - S1
12. Ancient Vehicle - S2
13. Unknown Vehicle - S3 (bumper car)
14. Oil Pump - W1
15. Classic Vehicle - W2

I know the same artefacts may be found on different places. I suspect you find them on the first place they may be, that you look at.

joridiculous, We are talking about Promethean fires, are we not confusing them with sparkling stars?

Each area has 2 'stars' - one related to the Prometheus monument, one related to the Pandora monument. So total 12 Prometheus stars (and 12 Pandora) if that's what you are asking. Each area also has 2 'flames' (that you can use to bypass puzzles) to be found, total 24, if you mean those. Stars and flames look kinda similar, so it can be a little confusing!

As for artifacts, I'm just starting S2 now and have tried to collect all artifacts as I go, but never found any washing machine, nor the bomber plane (even though I found that in the demo and know where it should be). Not sure if something is glitchy or they move around? Seems to not yet be an exhaustive guide for these.

There are 3 types of monuments - Prometheus(run after the star), Pandora(activate the box), and Sphinx(solve the riddle/find switches). Every map has two kinds out of these three. Their number in total is 24 but each one is less than 12.

Oh, I didn't even realise there are 15. So far, I have only found 11, lol.

But to feel like I earned your thanks, I went to the maps in the guides section and counted up. There is an even split of the three types of monument meaning there are a total of 8 each of Pandora, Sphinx and Prometheus in the 12 areas. So 8 is the answer you were looking for.

Hmm just found the washing machine in S2

Also found the washing machine now. Pretty sure it was S2. That one can hold 3 artefacts.
Kind of annoying its random, but also kind of neat

I think that is the case, some are but some are not in the same place for every player , like Pirates ANCHOR was N3 mine was IN N2, my VAN was in S1 again Pirate lists his at N3. So the chap who is doing the mapping may confuse some with artefact locations. Someone really clever should do a spreadsheet and we can all mark the sections where we found what.
