Gold puzzles worth doing?
After finishing all the standard puzzles, now I'm in front of the megastructure.

The gates to the gold puzzles are now open. I did one and it was okay, but something is missing. I realized that without context, I don't much care for solving puzzles for puzzles' sake. I like the story and I think the main story is needed to give context to the puzzles for me to want to solve them. Otherwise it's just an exercise in abstract puzzle-solving.

So is it worth solving them? Does the story change in some ways or should I just head into the megastructure?

Yes story changes in some way. But you can head into Megastructure anyway. After finishing the game you'll be back before the point of no return and there you can finish all side missions etc. Everything will be available except visiting New Jerusalem.

Finishing gold puzzles changes one storyline quite radically, and also grants couple achievements, so imho they are totally worth doing.
Yes, so I ended up doing the gold puzzles, and the added story made the ending feel less poignant lol :lunar2019crylaughingpig:

Really didn't like Yakut chiming in with the "Miranda is more important than the megastructure." Athena and Cornelius yes ok. Yakut 's part could've been done better. The last 2 gold puzzles felt like I was working to get him laid. Corny!
