W2, pandora star, a little help
I found the device behind the metal wall that I need to get the star. right now I have been looking for a way to get a driller. without divulging too much info, 1) should I look around the world for a hidden driller, if so, to save me time, around what part of the world should I focus?, 2) do I figure out how to get a driller out of a level? 3) do I need to wait until I can access the golden gate level before I can get the driller? Thank yoou!

There is a driller outside a puzzle in the world.
Look in the vicinity of puzzle #4

THANK YOU!!! I checked out all the levels before looking at your blacked out text and found it. you def saved me a lot of time and i still feel like I solved it because when I stumbled upon it, I was not expecting to.

this was honeslty such a bad game design. I spent at least 30 minutes walking around the map looking for hidden drillers.

Nah, there's a hint: if you pay attention you'll notice that in puzzle #4 you can disable a gate from a certain point... but there's no gate in sight. Soooo...

All they needed to do to give player a proper hint is to write 4 on the plate of Pandora's statue. Player then will search the 4th puzzle since its the only numbered entity on the map and find 2 pieces which will logically lead to a solution.

I've had the same frustration with Pandora's puzzle in South 3 (with huge tower in the broad circle-shaped pit). I could've got the hint if laser relays on tower were at least somewhat visible and not so high above. They can be spotted only if you raise your head very high and from a certain side of the tower.

Absurd. I have a strong feeling Pandora's puzzles haven't gone thru enough play tests.

This is why I much prefer the first game's attempts at star puzzles. There were so many opportunities to think outside the box and take items outside their designated puzzle areas, whereas this game dumbs down the concept a lot. I really like the second game but overall these stars are not well-thought-out

I must agree. I played through the 1st one forever ago, so I gotta go back remember how good the star puzzles were.

I'd counter that it was rather excellent map design, as I spent a LOT LONGER than 30 minutes trying to find that ******* with no luck; but on finally surrendering and seeking a hint, the location wasn't just obvious but face-palm obvious ... but I'd missed it because of how the map was designed, to draw attention away from the hiding spot when passing by it.

Keep in mind the architecture of puzzle 4 was changed post-release based on feedback; initially, the "outside barrier" was not as visible as it is now.

This star alone has single handed ruined all my TP2 experience because of the confirmation bias. THE FIRST THING I thought that didn't liked when I played the demo was the huge world where you might find yourself looking for "details" if you get stuck somewhere. And that's exactly what have hapened here. It was absolutely clear to me that behind the iron wall there was a blue activator so I needed a drill and also was easy peasy realizing in 4th puzzle you had to connect the blue beam but after that I find myself with the same doubt as Lord Victor in the opening post.

I even tried this IN EVERY PUZZLE before coming here but it looks like I overlooked it:

I tried to climb out of the puzzle #3 like a goat ...

And since I flatly refuse to keep looking through such a large world full of details... This star have been the one and only "puzzle" I have had to look for outside the game. The only thing that I was afraid to ruin my experience finally have confirmed my fears.

I found the driller, but nowhere to use it. I wandered around the entire map and gave up thinking something with the gold puzzle might be it, same with the Sprite. Now that I've got that unlocked, I know that's not the case.

Hint for anyone/everyone reading: Gold Puzzles to not prevent you from solving ANY of the statues. Some of the standard puzzles might, but you can complete everything but the gold puzzle on your first visit to the area if you're determined enough.

Ironically I also stumbled across the S3 laser pad accidentally just from looking for absurd things after the first few I found. My issue wasn't getting it or lighting up the connector, it was finding how to get it to the actual statue that took me a good bit.
I actually managed to hit the pad from 3 different vantage points across 4 different puzzles (#1 is broken though as it clips through the roof). I stole everything from #8 and used them at #5, then of course did it the correct/expected way at #3 (IIRC).

Personally I disagree. Some of the methods required you to check EVERYWHERE. Literally, EVERYWHERE. You can't trust any walls/corners, and there wasn't even a hint you might be in proximity of one. I love these games, but I can't waste hours upon hours running across every wall/corner to see if "maybe something is over here". I get it's a bit of a treasure hunt, but I'm in it for the puzzle, not the endless grind with near zero clue outside of "there's one on this map". I found maybe half on my own and looked up the rest.

The compass on here has greatly helped mitigate this, allowing users to disable if they truly wish to waste hours of their life running forever to find something, but also pushing most players in a general direction. It still leaves a lot to wonder about for some of them. I think it's a good balance.

EDIT:
I ended up searching for the wall on W2. I could not find it, and when I came across it, I was rather annoyed at its location. The drill portion stood out for me as the random blue light wall was obvious, but a copper/bronze wall in this map on the complete other side was very irritating. It could've been a little closer.
