Dream Quest secrets (SPOILERS)
So that one section of the game where after you beat all the gold puzzles you meet Cornelius and arrange to get jacked in to rescue Miranda, I was always curious about why it was so short and so simple. I figured there'd be more puzzles. But the reward for finishing all those gold puzzles seemed to be just...a few lines of dialogue basically. Besides the sequence itself which is pretty neat with all the glitchy Talos 1 aesthetics. It seems like there should be more to it. There are red glows behind certain brick walls and if you jump at certain walls you can see over the edges and through some brick gaps that there are lasers and unconnected connector lines in the distance as well as receivers. So I was wondering if it was all bonus content if you managed to find your way over there.

The sequence does give you one cube to help you through it so I did some experimenting and managed to hop up on top of nearby walls and it turns out that the entire Dream Quest sequence map is just the opening ELOHIM trials of the game but just backwards. I managed to make my way into the red sigil puzzle areas and they are all solvable! They don't do anything, but you can solve them. The other puzzles are either blocked off or non-existent (the first areas with the AI bomb things use some of the other puzzle rooms and so their puzzles are removed. The puzzles that are there don't have any purple barriers though so you can take objects out and put them anywhere you want. There are two other cubes in the red sigil puzzle areas so I gathered them and used all 3 to climb up on top of other walls and had a look of the lay of the land.

I still haven't explored the entire area but I don't think there's anything more interesting. I was expecting some cool easter eggs in Croteam fashion, but I didn't find any.....yet. Still, pretty cool. To get on and over the walls initially, you must place the cube on a nearby fallen pillar close to where you find the cube. From there jump on the cube and then you can jump right onto the wall right next to you. A bit of extra platforming and you can make it across to the red puzzle areas. Anybody find this or anything further that I missed so far?

Nice finds. However, given how it all sounds like the original map copy-pasted and repurposed for the new area I really, really doubt you're gonna find something cleverly hidden if you explore further. It's just level design. With nowhere near sufficient player clipping, but that seems to be a staple with Talos 2 so far.

Yeah I came to the same conclusion. Was just wondering if anyone else happened to find differently.
Just reached that point. I'll just be here to wait if someone finds out what are they hiding on that glitchy area.

nothing. its just re-use of the first "intro" level. But it looks cool cheesing your way into there looking around. Also most puzzles are now unsolvable since more or less all of them are cut or blocked in different areas. (You can still solve more of them by cheesing some more inside there)
