I can see how that one is a bit disappointing but I'm fine with it. The name is a clue and it's one of the rare cases of red herrings in this game. The first game did this more often.
And maybe they should. Because now I can solve puzzles without having a solution in mind or even knowing where the exit is. Now I'll be like: Hey there's a fan here, guess I have to use it! And continue on like that, just using whatever I encounter and hey, there's the exit!
Of course as it is with all puzzle, some find it really easy some cant figure it out at all. Best solution is leave it, and go try some of the other puzzles or just get out of the game and do something else. Very often the solution just pops.
