Hidden Switches?

I found a switch behind the Wooded Plateau Level 4 puzzle, and I can't seem to figure out what it does, any clues? (Without Spoilers if possible)

Light Tip: Explore location more throughly
Medium Tip: There are certain pattern concerning switch location
Heavy Tip: This is a part of Star Puzzle
Straight Solution: Sphinx Statue Star requires pulling of 4 switches on this location, each placed on stellae with puzzle number

Use whatever level of tip you want :)

I switched them all on and noting happen

You're not supposed to switch all of them on. Did you read all the tips above, or are you after non-spoilery hints?

What about the other star? can you give me light hint about it?
It's seems like it need laser source and I've seen white empty ray going above in the sky and what seemed like a connector placed in the map in a place I can't reach.

It's similar to the one in the previous area E1. Did you solve that one?

Good idea to follow the white dashed lines (which indicate connected but not activated lasers) and see where they end, and how might you connect to them.

No I didn't do the E1 one.
And I did follow the lines just now enough I guess. I'll do it thoroughly this time.
