Frustrating to Explore Dialogue Branches
The dialogue events are full of interesting options, but after picking one the game just continues. That's probably by design, so I'm not asking for tech support or saying it's a bug, but IMO this breaks immersion when I have to reload the last checkpoint to consider and explore the other options.

There's an interactive fiction computer in the simulation museum which handles this differently from the other parts of the game (so far): you start by picking a class, then making a series of choices, and at the end you can try again and explore the other paths (such as being a "witch" instead of a "scientist"). The other dialogues, by contrast, only let you pick once (such as the interactions with DOGE 666).

To explore perspectives about Icarus having hubris, being careless, or frankly being an idiot, I had to reload checkpoint and backtrack through empty hallways several times. This especially stands out when I choose something and the response causes me to reconsider a perhaps frivolous or vague choice. All the simulated walking is more time to reflect on the choices, I suppose.

I dunno - it seems immersion breaking to me to want to repeat every conversation to explore every possible permutation it could have. Must experience all the content must experience all the content! I'm happy to ponder a little and make my choice like a natural conversation and accept I haven't read every line written.

More often it's similar to: NPC: How will I find love when there are finite people and I don't currently love any of them? PC: Picks an option. NPC: No, that's not right for reasons. Further talking disabled. Edit: they are unnatural conversations which stand in stark contrast to their philosophical themes. Socrates asks one question he's been thinking of for a few decades, hears your answer, then wanders off to go spelunking.

i still dont know what the two prostesters wouldve proposed as solution to the energy shortage because the dialog option didnt come up again >:C whyyy?
I mean, even in the first game, if you wanted all the achievements, you had to play the game through several times to choose different options, and you had to commit to those options during one playthrough. It's more immersive for me to know there are several things to say, but settle on one and have to live with that decision for now. Seeing as how my choices affected how DOGE interacted with me and who he chose to contact me, I am curious to know how other choices may affect the outcome, as well, and reloading a checkpoint several times in a row doesn't really have the same effect. But that's just me.
