This.
Per-object motion blur is alright, but on camera movement it's absolutely horrendous and one of the first things any sane person deactivates. Same goes for most depth of field and vignette effects.
Looks like you are constantly drunk.
Yeah... I don't like chromatic aberation because I only see black & white, I don't like DOF because I use glasses, and I don't like MB because I sometimes get drunk. And I DO like HDR probably because I'am completly blind!
You should be pleased with how it's all very nicely rationalized.
Because when they see "motion blur", they automatically think about either the PS2-era motion blur (which sucked) or the overdone early UE3 motion blur. (which also sucked)
motion blur, depth of field, lens flare, chromatic aberration, vignette, etc, are the first things i turn off before starting game
Even tiny amounts of motion blur looks like eyes are out of focus and it's a physically unpleasant sensation. It also makes eyes fatigue for me.
Perhaps people who don't have perfect eyesight can tolerate motion blur to a better degree as for them everyday world already looks slightly out of focus and they are completely used to some degree of that.
I'm happy there's an option so that everyone can have their favourite settings.
Sadly in the game you can't turn it off. But someone found an easy on removing it and damn, the game looks so much better now.
But I don't have high framerates. I can play at 120+ FPS in 1080p ultra, or I can play in 4k at 60 FPS on ultra.
60 FPS is not enough for me to get "natural" motion blur. But I want better graphics at 4k resolution.
It makes blurry only if you rotate camera. If I rotate camera I don't pay attention on the objects, because my point of interest is not in the field of view right now.
If I walk normally motion blur only blurs on peripheral vision zone.
And this, my friend, is why 4K is and remains a meme.
