Garrison Capacity
How is garrison capacity determined?

In one region, I built three stables and a courtyard, but only one stable is active. The other 3 buildings say "a workplace for peasants" or something like that.

Why? Does the population number determine the garrison number? And then the distribution is random from there?

you get garrison through buildings. A stable grants 50 cavalry, a couryard 50 Swordsmen. The tooltip in the build menu gives info on it, the hover tooltip for stable tells you that you can store horses there. The hover tooltip for the couryard is incorrect, but the garrisons work as intended :)

Right, but I had 3 stables on one region, and only 50 cavalry. The tool-tip was in both the courtyard and two stables that weren't active. The sprite was also different from the stable sprite, it was mostly empty, and had a well, I believe.

the building with the well is a courtyard and grants swordsmen!

Ah, I may have mixed things up then, my bad!

By the way, what does the chapel do? And what is the building with a tent on it?
All 3 (chapel, courtyard, tent) have the same tool-tip ("a workplace for peasants").

The hover tooltips are generic yet. We will change that. tent and well are the same building with different graphics currently, the courtyard :)
Chapel will soon boost morale for your dending troops!
