Did someone find one ?

I just got 3 bosses :D But being the explorer type of a gamer i am relly searching for a Key after finding this cool chest ^^

I've heard they are tied to certain achievements, I haven't got a single one so far.

According to a Reddit thread, each of the costume chests is tied to a specific achievement, specifically these:

Clearing the game

Getting all items

Completing the glossary (note that this one is currently unattainable)

Visiting Nebur 40 times. (I just got this one myself, can confirm.)

no, i was able to get the first costume somewhat early in game, the second one opened halfway through, and the third at the end.

there are 2 Nebur achievements, and only the first one came with an e-mail from Xelpud.

by the way, what's the deal with Nebur and the fairy seller dude. creepy like hell.

Oh crap, you're right about the Nebur achievements. Why do they have two? I just went and got the second one, and the costume chest opened. Maybe the Reddit thread is correct, then.. Or are you absolutely certain you got the second costume halfway through, like before getting all items?

not so sure now lol. hard to remember what was the exact trigger. they may be right, maybe i got the nebur one early but didn't think it was connected with that.

Which one of the chests are open with Nebur achiev?

I can't confirm this, but I'm pretty sure that as long as you have a key, you can open any one of the 4 chests. There is no way that each chest is tied to each of those conditions, since people have gotten every costume, and yet no one has gotten 100% glossary yet, because it's bugged.

No, you don't get skeleton keys if you're not a backer. The chests just open when you do the thing.

The 'talk to Nebur 40 times' achievement unlocks the Little Devil costume, which is found in Gate of the Dead. I can't speak for the validity of the others yet, personally, since I'm not quite that far.. But that achievement definitely unlocked that chest, I checked it both before and after. A fairy general appears behind Nebur when you get the achievement, presumably to make you realize a 'fairy chest' is open.

Yeah, but I'm pretty sure all of the chests open when you get one of those conditions, and once you open a chest, the others close. I got all the chests besides little devil/baphomet, and I definitely did the Nebur thing.

you actually DO get skeleton keys as a non-backer. they show up on the main menu. also, i bielieve that with each key you can open one costume chest of your choice.

It shows you if you have earned a key (or multiple keys) on the main screen when you load up the game.

Yeah achievements are not tied to specific costumes, you just get a key and it is automatically used when you enter a room with a costume chest, whichever it is.

Another thing to bear in mind with the keys is that they are not tied to the save file. Basically, if the info about completing the game rewarding one is correct you could then load an older save and the key would be active. You could then open a chest and the costume will be unlocked on all your save files. Even if you were to start a new save, that file would have the costume from the get go.

I just found the valkrie outfit chest in the cave, so the keys are bound to a special chest ? well if not i will see.I did not know that, i just got the 20 times visitor achievement, but 40 should not be to had to obtain for me, i just buy one weight :D

I got 40 Times at that shop, nothing Happens ! But the Chest is open and my Sound Broken hmm

So theres another chest in the egyptian land that where i will search next :)

you dont even need to buy anything, just enter and exit, i did this 20 and 40 times and got the achievement.
