Control stick sensitivity waaay too high
Anyone else have this problem? Im using a xbone controller on this game and its mostly good, but the deadzone on the stick is pretty much nonexistent. Every time I quickly hit and release a direction get a snapback input in the opposite that frustratingly leads to tons of actions/attacks in the opposite direction.

I'm using an xbox 360 controller and I'm not having any issues during regular gameplay. I tend to keep my thumb on the stick and don't do quick flicks though. If I aggressively flick the stick I'm able to trigger a snapback input, but I really have to put my mind to it. Have you tried adjusting your controller settings through Steam? Upper left Steam > settings > controller > general controller settings. It should auto detect the controller you have connected. Click on the detected controller, then calibrate. From here you can adjust the deadzones for either stick. Hope it helps!

Any luck, Sind?

Didn't have a problem since I used the dpad the whole time. Playing this kind of platformer with an analog is going to be painful either way.

Usually I would agree with you, but I'm actually preferring the analog stick to the dpad for this game. I think it's due to how often I use crouch moving during combat. It's really strange to me, but it works. Menu navigating is all dpad though.

I tried configuring the controller options for the game specifically(setting the left stick inner deadzone higher), but it didnt have any effect. Also, how do you use the dpad? There is no option in the in-game controls to set that.

Yeah, this was really weird for me too. I usually avoid playing any 2d games with the analog controller. Heck, I even prefer to play Mario Kart 8 with the d-pad instead of analog stick.

But for some weird reason playing La-Mulana 2 felt much better with the analog stick and I didn't really even notice how I had naturally changed my thumb back to the stick after trying to play with the d-pad.

Sorry to hear that. Can you replicate this issue using another controller?

You can setup your dpad from the 'System Controls' menu. It should be in the lower right corner of the start menu.

I think it might be because the game doesn't demand much super precise platforming. There have been a few occasions where I've switched over to the dpad to get past a tricky part, but the analog stick is just so nice for crouch moving and it works well enough for everything else.

I've got the exact same problem with XB1 controller, I just got used to it, but it's frustrating sometimes.
