Can’t get Izanagi

Hey guys need some help. I can’t get Izanagi to give me the 3 mantras to enter the underworld. He just says “...”. I don’t recall this in other versions I’ve beat so I’m kind of stumped since I have 3 fairies, 6 guardians down, and need the vase/lamp of time/cog/battery trio to progress, of which I know the battlefield entrance info is in Hel. I also cannot get the code from Herod in Divine Fortress to wake the dog. I’m pretty sure I have every item up to this point. Maybe I’m missing reciting a mantra to progress? I also cannot get the crystal pyramid till after I enter hell because the teleport solution in RoY no longer works since the recent patch. Any help would be great. Thanks.

I think you need to talk to Modgud and maybe Yama first.

Found out what I was missing. Needed to talk to Modgud at top of Icefire Treetop who tells you to talk to other people in the underworld. One of which is Izanagi who tells you the mantras to unlock the Eternal Prison. Hermod in Divine Fortress gives you the mantras to wake the dog. [spoiler/]

Also regarding the funeral starting, it occurred almost immediately after I grabbed the 4th seal; seems it was before I ran into any cursed chests [spoiler/]
