Weird unbreakable wall in Hall of Malace?

There's a weird breakable wall that has a ♥♥♥♥ton of health hidden in E-5 of Hall of Malace (on the left side of the Hall of Blood entry).

Here's a picture of it. I'm where the lightning is, and you can just barely see the breakable wall "slash" sprite (timing screenshot isnt too easy)

I've been jumping up and down tediously for a few minutes and it's certainly not breaking. Either it's a puzzle i've not seen the clue to (or I need a specific item), or it's some kind of easter egg that requires hours of hitting it to unlock. I would try using a bomb on it but I don't know where to find those yet.

On a similar note, there is a wall in the pit between Chimera and Sphinx's room, which seems impossible to break as there are no platforms to stand on.


Anyone got any tips?

You need an upgrade to damage that wall.

This might be another instance of me doing something you're not supposed to be able to do yet, but I broke open that wall nearly as soon as the CoB/HoM were open. Too bad there's a sigil mark in there that I don't have yet. I used double jump and spammed the knife as I was jumping and managed to get it after a few tries.

astromyxin, that's a different wall. The one we're talking about is along the bottom floor of the hall.
