How do I beat Glasya-Labolas?

Nothing I do seems to hurt him. How do I kill it?

He's vulnerable when his tongue is out while he's summoning. I found diagonal jumping near the middle would miss him to summon and not charge. I don't think you can avoid it without double jumping

For those looking years later, he can be easily beaten if you have the Rapier and the Vajra. Stand in the middle of the room so he attempts to summon his minions, then get closer and rapidly attack with the rapier. You will kill the minions and damage the boss's tongue at the same time.

Also, remember to back away to the middle of the room after that so he doesn't charge. If you time the back-and-forth right like so, he'll be stuck in "minion mode" and can be easily dispatched.
