Ugh, stuck with the Seven Gates of the Underworld/Eternal Prison...
Can't make too much sense of em anymore at this rate, i know there's clues on what gate has what symbol and all, but i wouldn't even know where you find those clues in such a big ruins, full of tablets. Heck, i don't even remember finding more then two hint tablets!

As far as i'm aware, i unlocked all the required gates, even the one guarded by the miniboss that's under the corridor of blood. Admittedly i have been using a guide for some of the trickier stuff, since frankly, while i like solving the puzzles, some of them are just too frustrating or waaaay too wide-spread for my liking. Some of the late-game puzzles just go way past what i can tolerate.

So yeah, kinda resorted to looking up a guide, found a wiki at best with a suggested sequence, but the 6th or so gate (if you count the miniboss-guarded entrance to the underworld as the first gate) took my feather, and thus, made me physically unable to reach the gate right of Neti the gatekeeper. I was in that area before and raised the weight, unlocked the stairs near the gate, etc... But yeah, that's where i'm kinda stuck at. Doesn't help it's the ONLY gate left open at this stage, so i'm effectively stuck.

So far the guide suggested i'd go...
-Enter underworld from Icefire zone
-Gate between grapple claw-pillars
-Lava pit gate (reached by then crouch-walking lefwards through the pillar to the crusher lane, and passing the crushers)
-Purple-laser guarded gate
-The gate in the room where you obtain the Bomb
-The gate to the right of Neti
-Edit: The gate that appears in the room just above the crusher hands room with the save tablet

Honestly, i wouldn't mind if someone just told me the correct order, though then again, i also heard rumors the order is randomized? Then i'd be real nice to instead know where those hint tablets are and figure out what text means what symbol/item... I could probably figure it out from there, after i take a break from this aggravating mess. Oh this game... Sometimes it takes a puzzle or challenge too far.
(I pray no tablet is locked behind the mimir's well miniboss or griffin, neither of which are really passable until a bugfix gets sent out. Either way i'm gonna need to take a break from this for a short while.)

Solution:
Destroy the stone blocking the pillar with a bomb, then push the pillar halfway to the right and use it to jump over without the feather.

Hm, if i understand this right, bomb that hanging/chained stone block and move it...? Or something along those lines, i assume? I guess i'll try bombing stuff in the area with Neti, if that explosive gas reaches into her area as well that's gonna hurt, though...

Right now the chained/hanging stone block is resting on the lowermost platform after having raised it up/down, my usual path was to double-jump below to the gate, push the pillar to form a ladder, etc...
Well, if bombing stuff works and i didn't manage to get myself stuck due to something i did earlier, then hope this works! (Bomb-blocks always seem to be the bane of progress, in this game, and in the previous one! So darn cryptic what you gotta bomb, and what you can bomb.)

Huh, i don't even remember a pillar in that room, well, thanks, i guess i'll give that a try very soon!
Then again, just realized, said stone you mentioned could also be the one below Neti's area, near Anubis, huh? Well, i'm sure i'll figure it out from here so thanks.

The whole game they train you that breakable walls and stuff can be simply attacked with whip or even shuriken. Then outta nowhere they start having certain walls and other breakables that only bomb can destroy. Then even later on they have a wall that can only be destroyed if you have the Flame Torc equipped.

Bad game design imo. No sir, I don't like it.

I agree; i think it would be better if there were some clear indication what is needed to break the wall. In Super Metroid, for instance, if you try to use a normal bomb on a block that requires a specific other item (power bomb, speed booster, super missile, etc) then it'll turn into a gray block that shows the icon for the appropriate item. It's a way of saying, "hey, you're right, there's something here, and here's what you need to destroy this (even if you don't have it yet.)" Nice little playability feature. LM2's endgame is just a little too cryptic about this, considering bombs are both consumable and dangerous to the user.

Yep, pretty much. There isn't even a hitspark for hitting some of the wall/rocks with the incorrect damagetype! Some of them only respond to specific damagetypes and ignore all others! So no wonder i was unaware of how to get to that 2nd last gate... I mean, it's one thing to do this for non-required items/powerups, but this was a story-required element!

Oh well, i got it now, the Eternal Prison is finally done! Kinda glad they go easy on you with the boss of that area too, the area's mean enough as is. Some players may not even realize they can ask to leave, and come back with more HP/equipment/ammo.
Though i don't see how they expect you to do phase 1 without subweapons that hit really high if you didn't leave and return with your equippables (like the feather) re-activated, a single jump won't get to her head. Ah well.
