Okay... This is gonna be a double sided take....

I enjoy Atlas but mainly due to the fact I enjoy Pirate and Age of Sail stuff. The game is generally a good survival game, mostly because its built off of ARK's engine and systems. That being said there is parts of this game that are more unique from Ark like the ship combat and skills. Along with exploration and so on makes this game very interesting conceptually.

Now the elephant in the room... The game is more dormant and not really actively developed. Steam Chart reports around 400-600 players on steam in a day but this includes private servers and single player. And because the game isn't being actively maintained, the public main server is likely full of hackers at this point. Know what your getting into when you buy the game.

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. I played it for 410 hours enjoying every moment. But they "updated" it into a worse version. Now, DO NOT BUY.

It has been completely abandoned.

Looks like they recently deleted the game forums and their website redirects to the steam page.

I don't think this is every going to get an update.
