NEED TO CHANGE FARMING please

currently farming is completely broken, if you have to have farms in every biome how does it make any sense to start a farm. i have to travel to each biome to pick manually or farm it. there is no convenience. either fix with greenhouse or remove biome req.
PS. same with breeding... the damn animals live on the island biome but cant have babies on it?! HOW DOES THAT MAKE SENSE?

As far as farming goes if you put the crop plot on straw foundation you get a lot more choice of what seeds you can put in it

You can farm every crop in temperate biome, actually.
You'll still have to get all the seeds through exploring, but that's kinda the point of the game, so it's fine in my book.

Broken? Its working exactly as intended. I live on a equatorial island and i have every crop growing at my base except for chili because I haven't found any seeds yet. As far as tames are concerned I don't think temperature should have anything to do with it unless you are in extreme temperatures, for example trying to raise a rhino in the tundra. Btw you can't breed Rhinos yet.

I am in the tundra and fixing to start trying to grow other things other than taters .. hope I can grow chili peppers

i am in tropical, i cant plant most seeds in the planters on my roof (stone). i also cannot breed animals that live on the damn island the baby dies from not being in correct climate.

I know you can grow wheat and turnips in the tundra too.

That sucks.. anyone have a list of what biome is needed for each animal? wanted to breed some horses but I am in the tundra

i think if you are breeding indoors and have fires going. LIKE IN ARK it should be able to breed anywhere. ESPECIALLY animals that already live on the damn island! how are they making babies if they cannot survive in the climate!
