Dear Dev's,
You are doing such a great job.
The job you are doing at clearing up all the day 1 bugs is simply amazing.
I just can't believe that people are mad at all the hard work you put into this awesome community. When you could have just went dark and not talked to the community.
The way you put out reliable patches every month and that you don't need to wipe all the time.
The way that you don't make more bugs than you fix.
The fact that you abandoned single player and refuse to remove the single player tag from the Steam store. Your marketing skills are beyond anyone else's.
The way that you have taken a amazing game with so much potential and made it into, Well this turd we have now..... GREAT JOB DEV'S
I could go on forever about the greatness of this group, but I need a break from swooning over this amazing team and all the work they have done to make this game what it is.
Well I am saying thank you devs. This is a great game.
As for those people that say that the devs have never fixed any issues in single player since day one of SP. Well I have to disagree with that. I have been playing SP since January of this year and there was a time when all the islands on the map just disappeared. When you started a new character you spawned swimming in this ocean with no islands in sight. This was an extremely major issue and as far as I know it was just SP that had this issue not any of the MP servers. Now if the devs have never fixed any of the bugs in SP and have completely ignored it since day one then why are we not still swimming in the ocean with no islands around? Because they are not ignoring SP because there have been other bugs that have been fixed as well (taming of animals, shipyards disappearing, etc. all fixed by the devs). All of the current bugs that effect SP and even PvE will all be fixed eventually. Everyone just needs to have some patience and wait. Until then just report the bugs respectfully.
You realize why the islands disappeared on SP?
It was from one of their "attention to detail updates"
The patch was so amazing that it broke everything else.
The second part to that amazing patch was, They already said they were no longer working on SP. Hence SP not getting the update and being broken. And how long did it take them to get SP running again?
This game was great up to the first map change from the 15x15 map to the 11x11, Before all the FN prefabs and modular ships.
Now it is just trash and the numbers blatantly prove it.
But keep on stroking their ego's and telling them what a great job they are doing, cause that will help in getting this game back on track.
The point is that the devs are fixing the problems. How long it takes doesn't really matter. Just stop crying about it and have some patience.
Like the issue with ships getting sunk in the middle of deep ocean for no apparent reason, with most of the ship parts touching water suddently taking huge amounts of damage?
Could you please remind me of the exact version when that was introduced, and when it got fixed?
The newest devs seem to break most of the game every time they patch it. It's funny because the first estimate for the game leaving early access was supposed to be last December, but they are getting further and further away with all the bugs lol.
Also the devs have said they only want to focus on Clan PvP. Most of the people who have been playing Atlas were on private PvE servers, or solo play.
Atlas was a fun exploration and building game. But now with the new cookie-cutter ships, for the explorer / builder class of people, the game just isn't as fun and is rapidly approaching isn't fun at all.
That's some weapons-grade copium.
This game have been so many wipes and starts and new pages so this is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up and broken so no more kindness for devs they must start working or they will lose all players.
This is the FIRST or WORST team i have ever seen for constantly releasing broken code AND breaking code that was already working.
ALSO when a developer says something like "EARLY ACCESS"or PRETENDING to want to improve the code and the game you "give them a chance to PROVE IT".
Constantly changing the maps is NOT an attempt to get the game working in near perfect order.Constantly changing the game design is NOT an attempt to rid the game of bugs or get existing code to work properly.Instead it is actually leaning on CREATING more issues and ruining the experience of the game for ALL.
Yes everyone is fully aware of FINE PRINT mumble jumble in TOS agreements but that doesn't allow developers EXCUSES.A BUSINESS<<<keyword relies on TWO sides the retailer and the consumer and BOTH sides need to be happy one with their purchase and one with the results of their product.
Gaming existed long before this early access nonsense arrived and developers made money doing it the PROPER way.
Bottom line is as a consumer you are ALLOWED to expect some form of reasonable effort from the developer IF handing over money up front.Make no mistake consumers are NOT paying to test your games they are simply being "the nice guy" giving devs money up front and >>TRUSTING them to complete the game with a reasonable effort.
For someone that is so experienced in coding you seem to be clueless as to what you are talking about. Let us start by first talking about how this game goes where no other has gone so far. They built this game with the intent to allow 1,000s to play together on one map. So yeah they are going to change the map a lot experimenting to find how things best work.
Trust? Well let us talk about that. On launch many ignorant people bought Atlas. Why were they ignorant? Because they ignored or did not care to understand that this was EARLY ACCESS not a completed game. From that time this game has over 10k NEGATIVE reviews and has since brought the game out of that low score.
Now let us talk about Devs asking for money before they complete the game. Well if you want a house built custom for you how does that work? Does the contractor build the house completely out of his pocket then bill you? No they do not, you pay them for an incomplete house right? This is an INDEPENDENT DEVELOPMENT COMPANY. This is not the AAA Billion $ company like Ubisoft, Rockstar, Electronic Arts, this is a tiny team doing their very best to push the limits of gaming. All three of the above AAA companies seem to specialize in pumping out great game right? WRONG!! They simply reskin the same game over and over again, even the same idead over and over. GTA, Battlefield, Assasins Creed, what is original about any of those? NOTHING, just the same crap looks a little better with a new story. Then we line up to pay $60 at least for about 30hrs of gameplay if you are lucky. Now I do not know about you but I already have over 1k hrs in Atlas. I paid less than $40 for the game. So compared to AAA games I sure do trust these people.
Think about it people there are so many great games out there right now in the survival genre, how many of them are AAA games? ZERO!!!! Not a single great Survival game is made by a big name company.
Just take your toxic, ignorant, narrowminded behavior somewhere else on the net. Grapeshot is far from perfect but as long as they are doing their best that is enough for me and likely most other intelligent people.
