I am trying to find a server with people to play with but it seems all servers are empty. No matter if i try official or unofficial absolutly nobody is there.

At least 8 people on every official server... At least on PvE. PvP is only played for the first few days after launch.

Now he is dead and I do not think he will ever recover, the developers are going in the wrong direction, they keep adding useless things, a game on the sea where the most boring thing is to go overboard ....

I quit the game. Either all Servers crash on startup or nobody is online or in game chat. Will look for another game. Good bye.

As good as dead.

Tried to log on the PVE server. There are pillars everywhere. Just trying to place a campfire to cook some food is a chore.

The devs still have not gotten rid of the stupid "vitamins levels" system that is just a chore to maintain.

And not even speaking about finding freshwater when every passage on the islands I can pick to spawn are just closed.

So all in all, I just reinstalled the game to give it a try. Tried.... I guess that I can say that IF I ever play it again it will be an heavily modded server with friends and not having the whole map closed by peoples dropping pillars to prevent other players from even STARTING the game.

Honestly IF Grapshot did 3 things this game would be better:

1. add in Upper spawn cap for Ships of the dead total of 10 per cell on servers total of 3 in single player.

2. Make all blueprints with unlimited use. (Got a Legendary Large Hull BP last time I played, could only craft 1 before the BP was destroyed)

3. Make hosting private servers cheaper Currently the cheapest I found was $30cnd per month for 1... ONE map cell the games full map is A-O 1-15 225 cells for one month to privately run a FULL Atlas map that's $6,750 per month.

honestly there are more issues to fix but these 3 are the one's people complain about the most really though to fully hose a private host map you need to have your own server rack with 225 server all running at minimum 16GB RAM with Nvidia GTX 1080 4GB graphics card. Ironically this would cost the same as keeping a full map rental live for an entire year.

its a shame I played the Big 3 Pirate games of 2000 to 2021 ATLAS has the BEST sailing feel but short sighted Developers who don't take any of the communities feedback & follow their own desires, & a Greedy as hell Publisher/server hosting companies ATLAS only hope is the modding community but most of the needed mods don't work in single player for some stupid reason (All economy mods featuring selling non-basic resources) that's what killed ATLAS in the long run.

Official servers seem to be dead, I joined three over the years in total and they all died within a month of me playing them. That was the main reason why I quit playing Atlas. Ive just started playing Official PVE after 2yrs and there are roughly 4-12 players per single map so its all but dead, you wouldnt really want anymore than that because of lag issues. Only problem for me is my latency is 120 mostly which can suck but at least theres population!

Yes the game is dead (Hackers/Exploiter) won Players lost and the devs never fixed anything just added tons of garbage features to the game it never needed and no players ever wanted.

lol did you guys read the update notes that just came out? It sounds pathetic. Literally they deflect every question and just answer it with some form of, "We are working on it. Really!"

What a load of bull. stop releasing alpha games for sale until they are ready 100% and are playtested. Too many game designers use that excuse. We are tired of it, and you will suffer long term because of it, mr. game exec. all you are doing is making short-term money.
