Steam needs to take some responsibility for their customers and push to get these issues fixed. They are happy to be a platform and get paid from user and developer. but where are they when devs drop the ball?
Anyone that has paid full price for this game has a right to be unhappy at the moment.
I might have a look later after work.
Edit...
I got the in-game map working after a little bit of fiddling with files. As I already said, the editor (at least the version I've got installed on my machine) does not export the map image and cell image files when you select Export -> All from the menu bar. That only exports ServerGrid.json and ServerGrid.ServerOnly.json files. To get the files for the in-game map, I also needed to select "Only Map Image" and then "Only Cell Images" from the Export menu. This will export all the image files needed to get the in-game map to work.
The image files then go in [Wherever Steam is installed]\steamapps\common\ATLAS\ShooterGame\ServerGrid
For some users (I was able to save myself some time this way), in the ShooterGame folder, there may be a "Backup" folder, which will contain backup copies of the ServerGrid.json file and a ServerGrid folder containing all the image files for the 11x11 map. You could try just copying the .json file and the folder out into the ShooterGame folder, and it may fix it as well.
