Unable to create a Dedicated Server

I had a dedicated server running for a long time and then switched it off at the beginning of the year. Now I want to play a bit again and can no longer create a running server.

More precisely, there are two problems:

1. I can create a 4x4 server with the templates of the old grid editor, after joining I then swim in the water in the Freeport grid in the middle of the map. I once placed a "freeport" island there in the editor, but it was completely empty, so no buildings, trees, stones, or animals. The ground textures also looked more like the ocean floor.

2. When I use the "new" grid editor linked in Sticky Post, there is only an 11x11 template. When I try to join there I always get "Timeout / Host pending connection"
Which indicates a port problem for me, but the ports from the old server are still open. and the new server runs on the same ports.

I use ASUU and / or Atlas Full Server Controller to manage and start the server grid.

Does anyone have an idea what's going wrong here?

i don't know but i have an idea. did you clean out the old ocean files from the save folder? also check the last grid coord file to make sure it is listing valid coords for the map you are using.

I deleted everything from the Save folder except for the Config subfolder. I'll have a look at this coordinate thing. These changes have to be made on the client and not on the server, right?
However, I will get back to my PC in 6 hours at the earliest.

I deleted the whole saved folder and started a new game, so a "last grid" is not possible.
i only run 1 Grid to join. a Freeport grid. In the multplayer menu i saw the right grid is up and runing, but i always spawn in the middle of this grid in the ocean.

Why make a dedicated server now? There will be wipes and you will loose everything....including players.

I don't understand exactly what you're trying to tell me.
If I create my own server it's up to me how long I run it, or am I getting it wrong?
Is there an update being planned with which the previous servers are no longer running, so that you inevitably have to do a server update and wipe?
The server is just for me. Maybe a friend or two come in from time to time.

I have now managed to get the 11x11 server running. I just started another grid (A3) and I was able to join there without the timeout / pending error. Since A3 is not a Freeport, I then selected another Freeport Grid H3 (before I had always tried D9 but unfortunately always got a timeout) and here joining works as intended, directly on Freeport Island.
