They need to stop screwing with the map and not saying anything about it, at the very least. You can bet this isn't the only grid where materials have suddenly changed.
The point is that either it was bugged before and they 'fixed' it without saying anything or they changed or updated something without saying anything.
The resource issues, such as SP and MP getting different resources in the same location, and as you pointed out, some people experience inconsistent nameplates versus results gathered, have been well documented here... and probably the official forums. So, yeah, if they changed something, either purposely or in an attempt to fix a bug, then they should have included that in the patch notes. That's not some minor change someone forgot to document.
Was it intentional or not? We don't know, since it's undocumented. If it was intentional, then yeah, chances are all the materials still exist somewhere on the map. If it was unintentional... pfft, all bets are off.
