unaboul to add mods to nitrado rented server
me and a couple of friends just bought Atlas here in the Xmas sale, we rented a nitrado server, but when we couldn't get the server to stay up, we contacted nitrado, and was told it was a bug introduced in a reason patch from wildcard.

anybody found a workaround or any mods that still work ??

???

The latest update was 3 weeks ago i think.

I'm on a dedicated server hosted by Nitrado right now with 9 mods running.

Try contacting them again and maybe you'll get a different tech with better information.

Some of the hosting companies will blame any problem you have on mods. I mean it could be the mods and you can understand why they don't want to deal with a problem that you caused by installing mods.

The current problem with mods and Atlas is that many of the mods were created within a few months of the release of Atlas and then abandoned by their authors. Be very careful of using any mods that haven't been updated in the last few months. Some are fine, but others have serious problems that need to be addressed but never will be.

If you want help here, you should list all the mods you are using. Mod order is also important.

we where only adding a few deco mods all highly rated and all updated.

but after we had a talk with nitrado we simply abandont the idear of hosting our self, it just happens and we didn't know this, that 1 server = 1 square/cordinat on the entire 15 x 15 map, wildcard has programed Atlas so bad that you need 1 server for every 4 islands, meaning that, if we where to rent and host a server of 20 people we would need to rent a minimum of at least 5 -10 20man servers, and ven if we where just 5 man we would still need to rent multiple servers because 1 person might want to stay at home fixing up the base, 2 people might need to go to a totaly diffrent squadron to get materials not found around the home base and the remaining 2 mig be looking to tame some animals specific for some tasks getting rocks, trees and so, that would mean 5 people would have to pay for atleast 3 servers, it's an insane system and i have no idear why people aren't talking more about this, have people just given up on wildcard and are just playing untill a better company put out something better, more polished and with a better server system

Tbf there are custom 1 grid servers for rent on nitrado where you can find all the content thats available ingame plus you can play blackwood and the servers run pretty good , but i dont know how it is if 20 players play on the server

is blackwood 1 server all content ?? because the problem with the default map is that some content are many servers away, some grids have somethings that others don't have some grids don't have certant materials and some grids have special events

Right, the blackwood was designed to be one server with all resources and content. Although it does have some bugs and is missing a couple of resources. Plenty of threads about Blackwood, might take you awhile, but you should find information about the bugs and what it does and doesn't have on Google.

Another option is to play at least a 2 x 2 unofficial server. Some as small as that have all powerstones and all of the resources. The game is meant for you to travel and discover the location of the resources. That is all part of the game. If you don't like that part, you probably are not going to like Atlas.
