Horse Breeding

Trying to breed some horses in the Tundra biome. Is this at all even possible? I had them wandering and they get the "undesirable biome for mating" text with the little iceberg icon.

So I made 8 firepits and my character is sweating her♥♥♥♥♥♥off. Then I get the "undesirable biome for mating" text again, but this time there was no icon. So they weren't hot or cold, they just couldn't mate.

Do firepits and temperatures not matter? Do they HAVE to be in the correct biome for mating?

Well darn! Do you by any chance know which biome is best for breeding horses?

We're breeding our horses right now in a temperate biome...only bad thing is every once in a great while a heat wave will hit and if its during the day time the horse gets so hot and there is no way to cool them down...just have to hope the temp drops before they die..we even tried running one out to the water but it didn't work. thankfully the temp dropped before it ran out of health. It's doing great now. 50+ hours to raise them is INSANE though...honestly!! If it wasn't for another member of the company taking shifts with me...it would be impossible.

Oh and yes you definitely need the fires...we find that 4 on at all times keeps them pretty happy...if there is a cold front we usually light 2 more til it passes
