Are there ai ships?
Because I'm a singleplayer. For 4€ i would test this game, because i love pirates. But will there be ships controlled by the ai? Or i'm the only one in singleplayer?

there are no other ship sailing besides ships of the damned and merchants. you can however use npcs to operate your cannons and sails on your ship. For gold coin of course. i believe its 5 gold to purchase and depending on your progression in the "captain" tree will cost anywhere between 1-7 gold over time. you can purchase these npcs at the merchant in towns. he is located near the docks

the problem that myself and others are having is the treasure maps are not working. you pick up the floating bottles and there is no map in your inventory to look at so no treasure.

Tresure maps work for me.

They are randomly generated and look different each time. Some may be a little dwarf or a big collosus. But who knows maybe they will add npc customization in the future?

This is not entirely true. There are AI controlled pirate ships as well, if you have wild pirates enabled when you start the game. They are often spotted near islands with pirate camps on them

You can even build your ships how you want. You can build the decks and sails yourself like in minecraft. only thing that is predefined is the shape.

It’s worth the euro to buy it even if you only play for 50 hours. How ever there is a lot to learn in the game of how to build find stuff and what to use for equipment that you’ll learn with other players. Your ship building should watch a couple of youtubes due to the back planks when to add them.

Resources are all over the map. Top of mountains to the ocean bottom.

Good luck enjoy the game

You might of disable it? or never enable it
It's "Enable wild Pirates"

You can generally find them around the island with camps " guarding " the island as they go around it.
