ABOUT THIS GAME
From the creators of ARK: Survival Evolved comes ATLAS - a massively multiplayer first-and-third-person fantasy pirate adventure. ATLAS will host....
oh, maybe this will help you relax just a tad bit :) https://i.imgur.com/TNI96sb.jpg
lol
Well that's the thing about private profiles, now isn't it? Can't see their Steam level. In fact, your assumptions are even more lofty than mine. I'm just trying to bring a corrupt company to light.
Nice edit there, by the way.
I'd be surprised if there were any underhandedness to deceive the end user.
I'm assuming it's a subgroup team and the main company financing a total conversion and making a destination tween ARK devs and ATLAS devs.
I'm one of the first to highlight less than scrupulous practices.
I don't currently see any thing of note "nastywise" so far.
Calling a mostly feature complete game (But with bugs) "Early Access" is a scam because foolish people will believe the low quality content will improve and that they are actually "Stand in assets" Which is NOT the case here.
I doubt it, seems a good way to get out from under erm.. another company to contue on what they want to make instead of needing the permission of the .. other company.. not wildcard btw... but, the other ..company.. not grapeshot.. and you know.. about that one company...
Seriously, should go find the legal paper work for a company first before, maybe.. accusing them of things that kinda sounds like.. idk, slander. Just to be safe and all.. of course.
They pretended to be npc's lol. You mean like when they solute him when he gets on the boat? Wow I knew that was there company not npc's so they fooled you then!
Thanks for not trying to insult my intelligence or claim I'm being paid to do this, it makes conversations a lot easier.
My thoughts on Instinct Games, I will admit, are biased towards the negative, albeit for good reasons. They promised no paid DLC during EA on Ark, and yet they did (Scorched Earth, which I have yet to purchase and will not purchase). Next, they doubled the price when they brought Ark out of EA, clearly still being a game that required another full year of polishing before anyone could debate paying AAA prices for it. And finally, this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
And while I fully admit that I do not own Atlas, I have seen enough indirectly to recognize that they made an attempt to make this game it's own, but that ultimately some assets were reused in mapmaking and originality was sacrificed from the start, in the name of throwing out a product worth about $5 in it's current state yet selling it for $30. That's strike number one in shady antics.
Strike number two is the unexpected announcement and the promise of quick delievery. Anyone with half a brain could figure out that plan wouldn't work. You can't crap out a playable product a week after announcing it and expect it to work perfectly. Then when it doesn't, you don't just say "Sorry, we'll do better next time!" and leave all your players literally stranded at sea.
In my own opinion, this to me screams "throw me your hard-earned money and I'll see what I can do to pay attention to your complaints while I bask in my own glory," and I feel like I should call them out on it.
And again, I appreciate the civility, sir/madam.
Edit: And, after my response above, I fully expect Instinct Games to automatically discredit anything I've said in this thread on the basis of "You don't own the game, and therefore, have no grounds to judge us. Have a nice day," with a swirly crap emoji at the end. Calling it now.
