There does appear to currently be a bug when crossing zone since the last update so maybe this is what you encountered
well not all of us see massive fire / moke animations due to graphic settings, just looks like a red border, just a fyi.
far as not being able to cross that doesn't seem to be the case, and ship was lost. perhaps it is realated to the patch bug while crossing zones.
Ah oh did not know about that running on low settings ok you just see red :(.
Anyway yeah it's related to the bug for sure.. I see one of the Devs updated his Twitter saying he is now awake and going to be looking into all the reported bugs including the ships going pop when crossing zones.
They need to patch their patch, same with tame inventory suddenly dont want to show as an option/access. It is a lil harsh to loose a ship too it but, things like this come up whtn putting out a large patch with content to it. In just about ANY game. I have learned a long time ago, When a game has a big patch, I wait for a day or so .. just incase its going to be A .. Patch and hotfix the lastest patch... Seems many ships are sploding.. (btw for tames/no inventory acces.. relog to fix for now.)
