how to make cannons ?

i need cobalt, i have salt & coal, is there a easier way to make them ?

put metal , wood and coal in forge and produce alloy (iron ingot)

freeport or dissasemble metal will not work

Sounds like none of you have an idea
Let me help you. Canons are build in a smithy. For that you need Ingots, doesnt matter what kind (cobal, iron, silver, copper), this ingots are made in a forge, there you see what is required to make them, different for each kind.
You only need different kind of ingots for building with blueprints (green, blue, etc.)

Or you find a sunken ship with cannons aboard, than you can demolish them and get half of the materials for that ;)
