In-Game Voice not working.
So i'm having difficulty with Steam games not picking up my microphone. Currently playing Atlas, the push-to-talk indication that my mic is being pressed shows up, but nothing goes through. Went into Steam settings for "In-game Voice" to see if I could test and change microphone settings there. Well, it won't let me choose "Change Device," it is unclickable. Also using "Test Microphone" shows that it too, is picking up nothing. I would greatly appreciate any help in this. I do have my mic set to not allow programs to have exclusive use of it.

This effects every game I play through Steam.

I found the issue. Need to click on your friends list and click the cog in the upper right, then go to "Voice" and proceed to changing the Input device to the one that works when you click "Start Microphone Test." You'll know it's working when you have the test running and can hear yourself talking as you speak. It does not record then playback as a test, which confused me at first. You'll basically hear yourself like an echo.

experiencing same issue - tried the above method but to no avail.
Mic test comes through clear, and all other in-game audio appears to work - just nothing voice related in or out....

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
