How can I get salt?

Im digging beach with shovel but it is not giving anything. How can I get salt?

You need to go into the water and dig, not on the land. So you have water up to your ankles or knees then dig.
With piracy +60% resources from shovel on ground I get ~30 salt when using up all durability on 1 shovel.

Just read these forums or the games revies you'll find plenty there. In all seriousness some regions you'll find it on the beach looks like stone.

I tried on beach, on sea, on deep and it does not give me any salt Idk why. I can only find cobalt in my island so I need salt for ingot...

Except if the beach is filled with stunt rock small rocks, the shovel won't harvest there
