NPC Crew usage
I heard you can let them gather ressources for you, anyone knows how that works?

this is something I havent seen done, myself. Am currious as well.. I would be concerned they would be killed real fast by half the wildlife.

Yea maybe. But our place is save for the most time. Would be nice if you could have an army of woodcutters :P

My understanding is that tamed animals are the way to go. Bears for fibers, elephants for wood and thatch, rhinos for mining... not sure about others but most tames have potential outside of simply being a mount or combat pet that make them useful.

I tried an elephant a wekk or so ago, that really sucks for wood cutting. Got the double amount of wood with my hatched :D
Maybe they changed it? Don't know, have to check this later maybe.

Was your elephant a decent level? Our first elephant tamed out at lvl 29 and was still able to out-gather us on a x10 server.

you have to put weight into them, regardless of lvl 5 or lvl 30, they seem to have about 550 weight. my lvl 30(was lvl 5 pre tame) has under 400hp but at 700weight he can carry easily over 6-8k wood.

I tamed a lvl 29 last night which turned into a lvl 41. the only difference is hes got over 800hp before i put a single lvl into him. but the weight is still essentially 550. Their melee stat doesn't seem to change much either. But i bet i can get this bad boy to 800weight and carry 10k wood in just a few lvls.

Oh BTW...i learned last nigtht if you have the damage buff from beast mastery you can get 2x with just the first buff alone. not only does it double their melee, but also their gathering.

When using an elephant use the side swipe, you can hit multiple trees that way

Whitch buff i have to skill for that x2 buff? Interesting thing :)
And the side wipe? I can only gather wood with the main attack, looks like a headbutt^^ But it seems like it hits only one tree, maybe two if they are almost grown into another tree. Is there a special attack button or something? Tamed one last weekend btw :steamhappy:
