Fences for Fence Supports? Just Walls?

Simple question..... how do fence supports work? walls won't place on them because the uneven ground is obstructing it..... or the fence will place so high, it makes the "Fence" useless. I can't for the life of me find a "Fence" that would go onto the "Fence Supports"! Please Help, I'm going insane!

If wall section won't snap to support because of terrain you should be able to snap another support to the top of the one that is there that wall section will snap to. If support is too high above ground and leaves a gap under a wall section try snapping a wall to the bottom of the wall that is there.

You use wall sections to make a fence, they will snap to the supports. Hit T until the wall turns into a fence rail.
