How to get Glider to work?

So I got the Glider, but it won't open to use. I'm wearing it right now and even went to a high mountain to jump off and it still wouldn't open. How does this thing work?

Nvm. Have to press jump twice for it to open and close. I'll leave this forum here for others to find.

you have to jump then press space again (kinda buggy so somtimes you just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nosedive cause ♥♥♥♥ it right?) but when you do that you should go soaring you can even glide from just a small jump too. or if your overweight i.e you just mined out a ton of metal on a cliff slap that bad boy on and walk off a ledge where theres nothing under you then press space while your falling and you can glide even with 10k metal its pretty broken

SO yeah as you found out double jump to get it open..

Point down to get speed.. then press and hold shift and point up for a bit to go up.. keep repeating to fly forever :)

YA BUT IF U ARE UP ON A CLIFF THE GLIDER WONT OPEN UP , ON THE GROUND ALL I HAVE TO DO IS DOUBLE JUMP AND IT WORKS FIN BUT UP ON A CLIFF I CAN PRESS SPACE 1000 TIMES AND IT WONT OPEN UP THE GLIDER ONLY WORKS IN LOW AREAS
