Yeah and you should be able to out run them if you want. They should be slow tanks. I think I'm just gonna work on my base for now. No reason to even build a ship unless it's a raft of course. The ghost ships just ignore rafts. lmao. So stupid.. There are so many other things that need fixes and balancing. Ghost ships could have came later.
In a game which is almost RELIANT on the social aspect you need to keep the audience interested. The devs have not really been paying attention to where the players are at and rushing to drop 'cool things'.
Adding ghostships a few weeks down the line or even next year to maintain interest would have been a better idea. Game just released on early access, why rush to add content when you already have so much content that needs fixing/fine tuning.
Like myself and so many people have mentioned, ghost ships should be a rare occurence and something that players near end game have to actively seek out by sailing around the open seas. The only 2 logical reasons I can see for deploying ghostships in this state would be to stress test the server's performance (which could be done off the LIVE servers). Reason number 2 would be that decision makers have no clue what they're doing.
Please please...don't kill, potentially, the best game I will ever play before it has a chance to become it.
