You can find oil Nodes around though, (crude oil)

not all fish ,bass dont give it but the tuna looking one does , not sure on manta as i cant catch the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥....

My base is right next to a catfish pond on a medium sized island.

I spear fish every other morning, capture about five or six in less than three minutes, then throw the meat on the fire and the oil into a box. I probably have 150 oil from 16 hours of game play at this base, without it being a focus of what I am doing (which is taming).
