** WARNING ** IF YOU FREEZE IN MENU CPU / GPU WILL COOK !!

Fact : join game launches near instant on my 960 pro ssd m2 ..
Fact : 400 fps on 1080 ti .. In menu b4 u click join atlas
Fact : Cpu usage is constant 40 % in menu if you dont click join atlas ..(searches for server)
Fact : Memory 16 gb shows usage at 40 % ..

Fact : click join atlas and FPS drops to 3-4 CPU usages goes to 100% and stays at 100%
memory usage stays at 40% maybe drops lower .. Gpu usage i duno

Fact : if u leave your computer stuck like this it will probably cook cpu and maybe the GPU

Fact : No one will buy u a new cpu or gpu when its roasted .. Im sure this should be #1 pirority fix if this is DESTROYING customers computers .. a refund game will not cover the costs of this.

Put a sticky thread telling people to imediately alt tab or close the game if it freezes in the menu because thousands of peoples computers are going get destroyed..

NO joke 30 seconds of 100% cpu temps got to 90 degrees C ( 194 degrees F ) and still climbing rapidly !!

Yea and cos so many patches? people wil leave it running thinking its searching for servers that maybe comming up ... Im not game to see how hot my cpu can get i wonder if there is a history ? im scared to go back and look now.... and i got a Noctua aftermarket cooler that is not full of dust !!

yet the game run perfect for me on 6.0 lol but was doing the same stuff as this before 6.0 ... 6.1 and 6.2 just put my CPU back on the camp fire ...

Well, it would be a problem firstly with their systems that should be addressed.

We maybe need a pinned post on making sure your system is working correctly before trying the game.

Maybe un-needed and wasteful CPU/GPU usage in menus, etc. but that seems to be a common trait in the newer game engines. Not saying it is right but seen it before in other games when I monitor.

I do suspect it is something that some developers are not paying attention to as other developers can seem to get it under control.
