I will try my best to explain the taming process.

- Creature needs low health to Bola
- After bola make sure correct food is in last hotbar "0"
- The hit box for the "Feed" option is towards the center of the creature and you need to be very close. (most times wont even show up until you are being hit from the creature you need to be that close)
- Food is "Name Specific" which means you cannot use another name item that is still essentially the same object.
- After tame the creature will only eat said item listed for taming. (make sure you have extra to keep hunger up)
- Creature will list what is possible to equip to it. (saddle, bucket, ect.)
- To breed 2 creatures they need to be the same species and opposite sex. Here is the tricky part..... They require specific environments in order to breed..... They do not list, nor does the game give info for which climates work for which creatures soooo good luck!
- Most common creatures (monkey, chicken, ect.) will eat berries which are easy to find anywhere.

so no one knows how to tame in this game so far ?

Okay so this is what I can tell from the wolf I almost tamed.

For bigger animals like the wolf as already stated you have to injure them than hit then with a bola. Now while they are tied up crouch near their head and get close enough so it'll try to bite you but you won't get hit.

Once you are close enough make sure the right food is in the last spot on your hot key bar and just press E to feed. Don't forget they can only be fed while they are trapped!

Bolas only last for 2 minutes so bring plenty of spares. You'll get about 6 feedings with wolves per bola. For the lvl 10 I tried to get I would have needed about 8 since I ran out at 6 and he was almost done.

It's a total pain in the ass to do solo so if you want better and higher level animals you'll need to either bring a whole lot of items or some friends along.

Not wanting to discourage anyone from living their dream but, If you want to tame ♥♥♥♥ go play ark ffs thats what its for, this is supposed to be not ark apparently.

edit~ nevermind, lets start a petition to fix animal taming and remove alleged pirate content... smh

We tamed two wolves tonight. It's possible boys, dont give up.

Sadly they don't seem to be able to breed. They are male and female. But I think they might not let us breed combat mounts in this game so it doesn't get too broken.

the best way is to passive feed, you sneak and put the item in the slot 0 and keep feeding them while following them, or for the easy one at least

hmm does that work ? i feel liek i see you need bola for everything ??

1. Craft bola.
2. Find animal.
3. Damage target for low hp.
4. Throw Bola.
5. Go close his head and feed him
6. Repeate till success step 4 and 5
7. profite
And You must have learned skills for it

Can we get a "What Foot Tames what creature" list going ANYWHERE?!

I will start
Chickens and Little monkeys like Berries
Pig likes Maize
Cow likes Rustles
Sheep need Chamimile ( SP? )

I for one would like to know what food a Bull eats.
I assume Wolfs eat meat, not sure
I have a feeling Seaguls and Parrots might eat fish. Can't get really close to tame one.

Anyone else know any animals eating stuff?!
