Atlas joining server causes entire computer to freeze up. [READ IMPORTANT EDIT]

Anybody else having this problem, or is it just me?

Important Edit: Please, do not wait for your computer to unfreeze just to connect to a server, just close the game through task manager, and wait for a fix rather than putting your computer through a complete lockout and usage overload. I repeat DO NOT wait for your computer to unfreeze.

Edit: The majority are also having freezing issues. It seems to be low ram users mainly though, as myself has only 8 GB of ram.

Edit 2: To get more information, if you guys can post your PC and system specs and see what majority is this mainly effecting.

Edit 3: Maintenance for connection, performance, and stability beginning at 2:30pm EST, originally 1:30pm EST but they like delaying things.

Edit 4: v5.5 is being redeployed, it's supposed to resolve some performance/connection problems.

8gb here too. And i have to admit. Keeping task manager open i see it reaching 96% and then hanging my system.

Never had any issues with Ark, but ATLAS doesn't wanna work, haven't even seen the character creation screen yet :(

Me either, the farthest I have gotten is having the music change when I try to join a server but it will never fully connect to it and just freeze it up.

Might only happen for low ram users because I have 8gm of ram as well but I’ll be adding more soon probably because other than that I have a 1070 with a i7 6700k professor

Guys, be careful with the game. My friend ATLAS burned a video card. A video card that worked 100% normally, for example in BF and CoD and other demanding games.

Might be a corrupted file, that’s the best i got since this game is all over the place. Try verifying your game cache and then try again. Best advice I go for you lol.

Ya mainly seems with low ram users, guess this is up to time for them to make the game a little more optimized with lower memory users but I’m not asking for much since it is still in early access. I just want to be able to play along with many others.
