terrible framerate even on low settings

I'm getting like 20-25 fps on low settings with the following hardware:

Intel i7 8700k 4.5GHz | 16 GB DDR4 Corsair 2800 MHz | ASRock Z370 Taichi LGA 1151 (300 Series) | EVGA GTX 1080 Ti 11GB GDDR5X | Samsung 960 Pro m.2 NVMe 1TB SSD | Acer Predator x27 27" 4k UHD IPS G-Sync HDR 144Hz | Windows 10 Pro 64-bit

that's gotta be the understatement of the month

"not optimized" and "barely playable" aren't usually equivalent, even in early access.

I was really hoping to play this game within 2 weeks of launch, i was expecting it to be a week before id wanna play it tbh, but i feel like i will have a repeat of what happened with ARK where i couldnt play it for a long time.

Very disapointed tbh, specially since i have heard the devs say this game is more optimized compared to ARK, which appears to be total bs in reality.

But imma keep praying that a fix happens and it was somethin simple stopping people from getting past 30 frames =/

Just coming from a game that everyone says is garbage (fo76) but I can run at 1440p, max settings at a steady 120+ fps (even in combat) and now coming to this game that everyone was saying is so great and can't even run 1080p low settings 30 fps...

same here, bought ark few years ago, same scenario as atlas. I'm refunding this one also.... I prefer to waste my money in other great games that are coming in the near future....

they must be doing some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ asset-streaming instead of having all the assets/files client-side
because it looked fine in the streamer server on decent settings

Noticed alot of streamers getting the same lag issue in starter islands, once you get to a new zone it smoothens out and u get 60+ fps and no rubber banding

ARK does get optimized though. ATLAS will too.
