Its created by instinct games... Same dev as ark, and its an MMO. Ark could house 100 players, this claims to do more. Thats probably the only difference.
Snailgames is behind Dark and Light.
Grapeshot Games is a "sister-studio" of wildcard.

The Ark-mmo could allegedly hold 200 players per server.
Since Atlas servers can allegedly hold 150 players each, there's nothing new here.
The new thing being that each server is accessible by moving to the map-border and only getting an interruption via a small loading-notification, making the transitioning almost seamless.

Atlas is not a sister studio. It's the name of the game.. Grapeshot Games is a sister team of Studio Wildcard, both owned by SnailGames.
