On last weekend i tried to breed Bears.
At first, i stay on A11, the weather conditions in this grid are possible for breeding bears.
I handle the Temperatures like: cold -> campfires 1-3, hot (>22°C) -> forcefeed the Babys until they have enough health to stay alive without campfire & forcefeed.
But the bigger problem was the "no food consumption" feature from the tamed animales during my offline time.
All my baby bears died based on this feature cause they permanently loos life and must eat.
In my case the bears need 8h for 17,8% maturation, so i need to stay online for about 40h.
With the automatic inactivity logout feature it's impossible for me to breed bears.
My Fazit: There is no relation to breed animals against taming.
Taming: ~30min
Breeding: 4h Gestation, 40h Maturation.
I hope the developer take this in mind and consider to make adjustments.
I'm not sure if they can't breed at all in Tropical or if it was because of the Open Water aspect. If they can't breed at all in Tropical due to the temperature why do they spawn there?
I think the only animals that are worth breeding are the panadas and triceratopes(yes they are ingame I have seen a couple already)
So it sounds like i need
1.Temperate zone
2.cow for milk
4. 4hr gestation
5.40hr maturation
? does that sound about right?
@mad viper: There is actual no mechanic to cool down the juvenile's, but you can force-feed them to keep there live up, so i do.
