Why not unplug it when not using vr. I think there is a setting in properties to disable it too in steam.
also, what are you trying to do? are you trying to argue the problem away? 'cause you're not solving anything right now.
it'd be fun to be able to play this game with a VR headset too, and seeing as how it tries to push VR, the framework should partially be there

++ and atlas , ark doesnt have VR option, ( that option is from the engine they use probably)

otherwise they worked surprisingly fine.
i think they tried to hardcode it to not be able to use VR headsets, but adding that feature should be a breeze.
however, since only about 0.8% of steam users own a VR headset, they believe that VR is not viable enough.
(if you disregard that a year before only about 0.4% of steam users have a VR headsets and most steam accounts are traders who play freemium games).

just the way you tried to help made it seem like you were doing the opposite.
while your intentions might have been benevolent, you might want to consider if and how your suggestions might help or not.
part of it may also have been my fault for not properly understanding you. english is not my first language after all, so i might also make some mistakes and fail to propely understand what a person means or what their intentions behind their expressions might be.
