Alphas
I know it's been been said here before but here's my 2 cents. My husband and I have played Ark 500+ & Atlas 100+ hours and the only problem we have with either game is we can't disable mega dinos & alphas. They are the reason we don't play any more. If you were to add a toggle under server settings to turn off Alphas in both games & Mega Dinos in Ark we would be back playing in a second. We've been waiting for over a year & a half for this on Ark, and now on Atlas. 2 people cannot control/kill these mobs.

They nerfed alpha's, easy killable now just position them so they cant hit you or use tames.

why would you not want alphas around? they server a few purposes.

example:protection
if you got alpha elephant, pig whatever non aggressive kind. you know it will be around killing the non alpha aggressive animals making you safe.

harvesting:
I don't know about you but i prefer to kill an alpha..horse than go around killing 20 horses for the same amount of hair. alpha turtles etc..same deal.

leveling:
need to put lvls on your tame? go kill a few easy alphas.

also with a good bear, theres basically no alpha you cant easily kill. I've even soloed alpha yetis with my bred bears.

OP, see your Ark thread. the info is there to point you toward what you need if you're really insistent on removing them, but they are manageable and they are worthwhile to have around.

My husband and I kill pretty much any alpha we come across. Use tactics, get up high. Get something to help. They REALLY are not a huge threat. And the experience you get from them can be nice :)

I play solo and i also would like an option to turn Alpha´s off, today I run into a Alpa cobra and he wiped out all my tame animals including myself , not so fun...

Lawless regions has everything you need. There is no alphas in lawless regions - settle there!

Alpha's are the reason I loose tames.
For example 3 Bears to an alpha Rock Elemental on the north western tundra island of Blackwood. I didn't even know they had rock Elementals in the game none the less on Blackwood on a non powerstone island.
Before that a bear and a wolf to alpha lions on Cylops island.
Alpha's are just a cludge by the dev who can'nt come up with a legit skill based challenge to risk your tames.

Unoffical servers do whatever - same with single player - but alpha's need to stay on main servers- most players actually are able to hunt and kill alphas without any issue - even solo.

Well I dont think anyone want to remove Alphas from the game, Just an option to let them "be or not to be" in ouer personal servers or singel player ,as in my case.
We can turn off tamig ,riding etc to ouer desire as is , but not Alpha´s ...

Alpha lions and Alpha Rock Elementals are the problem. Alpha rabbits, turtles even Alpha tigers etc aren't

Hell, I farm alphas at level 6 and a bow to boost my xp and levels up to 20 real quick.. again.. using a bow with no perks yet to it even.. lol Non alpha Murder kitties are a problem though, let alone Alpha ones unless you see them first and can dip out into the water to shoot them or up somewhere they cant reach. lol On one, unofficial server I was on. I built on the top of a cliff and it had a jagged edge to one side.. so every time a damn cobra or wolf, even alpha.. came down the hill at me I would dip and doge and jump over the gap and they would fall down to the sea below.. lol

"Fun with Alphas aside" Since they do not have alpha spawns in freeports and Lawless islands, there is 1. a way to to turn them off. but, more likely 2. They have a couple of extra spawn groups that the beasts that are in that group dont have the % of alpha spawns. Have you checked with the modding community on it? Some of them may know whats needed, if it can be done for private servers.

Thanks for your answer Liatni.
It was helpful, but I wish we had more "vanilla" options on this, that is supported by the developers, for instance; a % slider setting an aggressive Alphas in world and respectively a slider on non aggressive Alphas that's spawns. I understand such setting is "Powerful" and might give consecvenses in gameplay more then the obvious, but still like the players to make such decisions for their own server/singelplayer game.
