How do I know where I am on the map? (solo)

I see these maps online with M8, K5, etc etc numbers I don't know how to find myself, wish there was a good mod for this

If you open your map it should tell which region you are in plus the longitude and latitude.

You can open inventory and hit atlas to get up a map, with zoom in and out, Ther is also zoom on normal map

but it doesn't show the grid

If you open the Atlas map through the inventory, you will see a whole set of icons along the side, one of those is for the grid, there are others for island text, and what-not. Make sure they're set how you want and you should be good.
