Can't Respawn

When I am killed, I select to respawn at my bed. Then, it goes to white screen and then black screen, with the message about what I was killed by at the top. Then, it just sits there and does not respawn. After waiting twenty minutes, I restart the game and am no longer allowed to respawn at a bed. I have to respawn at an island near the center of the map.

Has anyone else experienced this? It seems to be a consistent problem for me.

And, now my schooner (as well as the bed on it) doesn't even show on the map, and it was just anchored in a bay while I was exploring. I'm stuck at my sloop, six cells away. Super-aggravating.

Yes, and I am pissed off as well. Have you found a solution to prevent this from happening?

well, there was a patch today for bed spawns on Blackwood, as well as other things, anyway.

I have exactly the same issue.
Died → stay on screen "you are killed by..." → restart game → good bye my shooner and respawn on another case.....

On single player on the Ocean map.


First time 2 weeks ago, last time yesterday.

you must build some beds on islands which you passed there you can respawn then . Unfortunately, the ship always hangs after (you can see on the map, although you are already further the ship is much further behind you) at the cluster change and you spawn where the ship was before, unfortunately, the ship is no longer there. If you play on a server it works with the same map (Blackwood is the same problem)

it has totally diseapeared, i came where i died on fly mod, and never find it.
For the second time yesterday.

I think i'll put atlas on stand by, waiting a patch....

Does it show up under your Atlas tab, Map? (not the map you open with M) open inventory and the Tab far on the right side Atlas. I had a ship not showing up on my reg M map.. but it showed in the Atlas map tab.. so just currious.

nope.
Only a dinghy since the first same bug, and it is on the map but not on the game.

Yeah, map icon and location are not the same for many still, so far. It may be there, just in a spot other than it shows on map.

The only thing I found to stop it is by checking your map and seeing if your ship is caught up on the map. If it is not; then log out and log back in and it should be caught back up. The game sometimes can't keep up with your ship on the map during long voyages and when you die during this time it just kicks/destroys your ship from your company.

But when i died, i was over 50ft of my ship.
I know where it was, back on the same place on fly mod, and definitly, it wasnt here.
First time i had this bug, i loose my time to search, and finally, recraft it with command line.
I left the game and replay, average times, and never seen it.
And now, same with my new ship.

Its a schooner too for me....

I encountered this issue today also. I left my schooner in a bay whilst I went to find a resource on the island. I got killed by a tiger, seen my ship in a different tile (one which I had sailed through to get to the island) selected the bed to respawn and I got a hanging black screen which came to nothing. Ship and bed subsequently removed from the company when I respawned at a land base bed a few tiles away. Ridiculous bug for an exploring game tbh. Shabby development.

welcome to the club. it still seems some people still can't understand it because it didn't happen to them lol

doesn't seem like they care to fix a bug like that.

Did you both try want I mentioned? It fixed it for me. On long trips I find somewhere to log out real quick to let the game catch up where my ship actually is and then get back on. Annoying, but better than losing all your hard work. Hope it helps.
