2) "They", Grapeshot, did not create Blackwood, it was done by a modder; though I suspect they broke it, intentionally or not, when they got their hands on it.
3) In an in-development game, problems are to be expected and not all problems are easy to resolve, particularly when new content and code are constantly being added. Also, the content team isn't the bug-fixing team. Also, GS is still building their manpower.
4) Blackwood, at this point in time, is very necessary for Atlas. See, GS tried the same thing that was done with Ark, to focus super heavy on PvP and their own brand of PvP. I won't fault them for hoping that the much larger maps and, therefore, number of players allowed would create different results than Ark, but I'm absolutely not surprised it didn't. Pretty sure they've already seen that the bulk of the player base is going to be unofficial, non-ded and SP; just like Ark. With the roll-out of SP and non-ded, they need to also keep adding to the tools for where the bulk of their players will be... and custom maps and modding are the keys to that.
5) Pretty sure WC knows more about what they are doing, considering they've made more than enough money off Ark to continue expanding operations and form GS to develop Atlas.
Am I saying they're perfect, no, not by a long shot. The reality is that a whole lot of us would never have continued playing Ark except that WC pretty quickly realized that community-made content was going to keep people playing and embraced supporting that. Pretty sure Atlas is going to be the same, so they need to embrace it as well. Like Ark, I expect Official servers will stay true to their mega-tribe PvP goals, but most of us will be playing the game our way instead.
All those easy to adjust settings in the SP menu; you're welcome. All of us in Ark during its development had to rely solely on making the changes in the .ini files for three years because pretty menus with convenient options are typically one of the last things made. Expect as Atlas development moves along that some of those blank spaces (which were Ark specific settings) will get filled with Atlas specific things, probably like the freeport level limit and anti-aging.
Of course, I can't complain too much when one of those tigers took me from level 6 to 31. Alphas can be bothersome when you're just trying to make sure you can even feed yourself. XD
***********it is for me totally idiotic and retarded and just shows how atlases developers incompetent and do not know what they're doing
Even if they could just update the building system to match Atlas, they probably wouldn't because they'd have to force a mindwipe on everyone and the last time they did it... hooo boy... did some people get pissed... and confused, and frustrated (the ones who had no idea it was coming), and then when they borked it and had to do it again a few days later, man, did that explode even more. Wasn't SE or flyer nerf levels of mayhem, but it was bad.
